Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show lived up to expectations, featuring not only celebrities but also a real-life wedding with Puerto Ricans as witnesses.

The stars were front and center at Super Bowl 60, with Chris Pratt and Jon Bon Jovi introducing the team and a series of exciting pregame performances before Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated halftime show, which included a cultural tour of Puerto Rico and a real-life marriage.

One scene in the show shifts to a wedding, where a couple breaks up and Lady Gaga becomes the first surprise guest. She performed “Baile Inolvidable” with Bad Bunny.

The couple actually got married during the show, according to a representative for “Bad Bunny,” who said he served as a witness and signed their marriage certificate.

In addition to Gaga, who hosted the Super Bowl halftime show in 2017, Bad Bunny has brought a string of celebrities to the show, including Cardi B, Jessica Alba and Pedro Pascal. Ricky Martin, a Puerto Rican star from the previous generation, starred with him in “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii.”

Newly unified WBO and WBA super welterweight champion and boxing world champion Xander Zayas also made an appearance. He stars alongside Mexican up-and-comer Emiliano Vargas, while Bad Bunny dons gloves and sings his 2022 hit “Tití Me Preguntó.”

Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, stopped selling groceries a decade ago and last year became the most played artist in the world on Spotify.

He ended his performance by shouting: “God bless America,” one of the only English phrases used during the 13-minute performance, and naming countries in North, South and Central America, including Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, the United States and Canada.

After the list of countries, at the end of the show, he declared: “Mi Patria Puerto Rico, seguimos aquí,” or “My homeland of Puerto Rico, we are still here.”
