It was revealed OffsideVilla are one of a number of clubs interested in Yildiz, along with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund.

However, it is understood Juventus could offer up to £66m (€80m) for the 19-year-old, who has made 17 appearances for Turkey.

Despite his success at international level, Yildiz remains relatively unproven at club level, with the former Bayern Munich talent making just 54 appearances for Juve so far, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. .

While Aston Villa are at a disadvantage in the race for Yildiz, they will offer a more direct route to regular senior football.

But if they want to land the youngster, they may need to use a player deal as an added incentive for Juventus, who are demanding an astronomical fee.

“Maybe there could be a swap deal,” King, who has played for Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, told reporters. Villa News.

“Buendia has been linked with leaving the club, maybe they will recommend him to Juventus? That could be something. However, Juventus do want £66m for the player.

“You can forget that. He has played a few games at a high level, not a few seasons. So his efforts are not enough to pay £66m.”
