Sam Konstas hit a solid half-century for Sydney Thunder, finishing with 53 runs off 42 balls
Sam Konstas scored a solid half-century for Sydney Thunder in the ongoing match. Although wickets fell at the other end, the batsman looked in great touch and ensured his team scored over 100 runs, which at one stage looked impossible.
Sam Konstas scored 53 runs in an innings of 42 balls. He had a strike rate of around 127 and hit 5 fours and 2 sixes in the innings. Apart from him and Chris Green, no other batsman scored more than 20 runs, which speaks volumes about the poor performance of the team.
For Perth Scorchers, Cooper Connolly is one of the performers with the ball. Apart from his economy with the ball, he also removed Sam Billings and what caught the attention of many was the unique celebration he brought about after taking a wicket.
Connolly fired a shot to the arm and Billings dropped back a bit in an attempt to push him offside. The ball was pitched and slid out and hit the top of the leg stump. Then he came up with the iconic bow and arrow celebration.
