Tyson Fury He will face Arslambek Makhmudov in his comeback in April, but he has already made his goals clear.
The “Gypsy King” will return after a 16-month absence when he takes on Mahmudov in the UK on April 11. The event was broadcast live on Netflix.
Fury last fought in December 2024, when he lost to Alexander Usyk for the second time in a row, leading to him announcing his retirement from the sport.
Ahead of his imminent return, promoter Frank Warren has Tell Sky Sports News Who else is on Fury’s radar, with another fight against Usyk being his top priority.
“He wants to be the best. He always has. He told me he wanted to fight Usyk again.
“Tyson is a combative guy. He loves it. He goes to the gym and when he starts training seriously, he wants to see the end result, and his end result is the fight.
“To me, he doesn’t need to fight. He’s cemented his legacy. But he’s continuing to fight and he’s going to be a great addition to the heavyweight division. He’s a great personality. The crowd came out for him and it’s a very important moment in his career.
“If he’s going to come back, I’d rather he come back now than four or five years later when his powers might be diminished.”
Usyk last fought in July when he defeated Daniel Dubois to become the two-time undisputed heavyweight champion. But the Ukrainian could now face an unlikely fight with kickboxing star Rico Verhoeven. As for a trilogy with Fury, the great Ukrainian says he’s open to it.
