Archie Manning He started his first bowl game of his college career with the Texas Longhorns and against the Michigan Wolverines in the wake of the Sheron Moore controversy.

Manning lived up to the early-season hype; lead texas A huge 41-27 victory in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.

For the most part, Texas and Michigan are neck and neck. At halftime, the two sides were tied at 17. Manning has to dig deep and the defense has to play tough to get and keep the lead.

Manning found tight end Jack Endires for a 17-yard touchdown pass to take the lead. After Michigan’s field goal, Manning scored a 23-yard touchdown.

Michigan isn’t done yet. Bryce Underwood wolverines He took the lead when he ran for a 5-yard score and nearly lost the ball in the end zone. The Wolverines led 28-24 early in the fourth quarter. But the Longhorns are still hot. Manning led the team on nine carries, finishing with 75 yards rushing, culminating in a touchdown pass to Calik Lockett.

Archie Manning says ‘no reason to leave’ Texas, hopes for further development

Underwood threw an interception on the next drive. Manning then handed over the knife.

After receiving the ball, he ran directly to midfield and completed a 60-yard touchdown. Texas would only add a field goal late in the game and that was it.

Manning totaled four touchdowns in the win. He totaled 376 yards, including 221 through the air and 155 on the ground. Manning’s rushing yardage total hit a career high.

The Longhorns finished the 2025 season with 10 wins. This is the third straight season that Texas has posted 10 wins.
