Analyst Peter Zalmayev ‘doesn’t hold out much hope that the American tone has changed decisively’ on the issue of Ukraine




On a day when NATO pledged new aid to Ukraine, while thousands more people in the country were left without electricity after Russian attacks, a Ukrainian analyst laid out his hopes for FRANCE 24. Peter Zalmayev, director of the Eurasia Democracy Initiative, says he does not hope the US tone has changed decisively since last year, when US Vice President JD Vance stood among European leaders. Zalmaev, however, welcomed the new additional support for Ukraine announced by NATO members. We talked to him in Perspektiva.
