Amazon ensures that the “specialist controlled fulfillment of fulfillment” that shoppers receive perishable groceries free of charge, and that orders a six-point quality check upon arrival and before leaving. In addition, temperature-sensitive products are supplied in insulated bags.

Fresh groceries now make up nine of the Top 10 most-ordered items for fast delivery, Amazon said.

The company also said that perishable grocery sales have grown 30 times since January, and that customers are adding new groceries to regular ones.

Same-day delivery is free for orders over $25 for prime members. If an order does not meet the minimum amount, subscribers can still choose same-day delivery for a $2.99 ​​fee. For customers without a prime membership, the service is available for a $12.99 fee, regardless of order size.

Amazon said it has grown the perishable selection available for same-day delivery by more than 30% since August, and includes thousands of popular items from across the grocery market.
