If deadline passes and TMZ has not revealed the specific threats outlined by the alleged blackmailer, Levine believes the note is untraceable.

TMZ founder speculates Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapper may still be in arizonanear where she was taken.
“I believe this person is in the wide area of Tucson – not in Tucson, probably in New Mexico right now,” Levine said. “But they are certainly familiar with Tucson.”
“I think that’s one of the reasons why they sent the same email to one of the local TV stations in Tucson,” he added.

Levine also accused authorities of becoming increasingly desperate as the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance entered its sixth day, especially since the alleged ransom letter said it would be the only communication they sent.
“They said this would be their only way to communicate,” he told Fox News. “They’ve done their communication, they’ve negotiated, that’s the deal, that’s it. As time goes on, I think that’s one of the reasons the FBI and other authorities are getting desperate here.”

Levin noted that the structure of the ransom note suggested it was not fake.
“This is not a letter that was put together in a few minutes,” he said. “This is a very specific, well-organized, layered letter that really lays things out. This is not artificial intelligence.”
“If an English teacher were to look at structure, grammar and everything else, I don’t think they would have notes,” Levine added. “So this is a person – not a crazy person writing this. I mean, they may be crazy, but they have the ability to make demands, say what they want, say what they don’t want, and it’s very, very methodical.”
