Louisiana State Police All eight inmates involved in a shocking prison break in East Carroll Parish early Friday have been arrested, it was announced Saturday.
State police said the men were described as “violent criminals.” Escape from Riverbend Detention Facility around 1:20 a.m. Friday in the center of northeastern Louisiana.
Authorities arrested four inmates on Friday; the arrests of the remaining four were announced early Saturday.
The inmates captured were identified as: Savion Wheeler, 31; Hugo Molina, 27; Trenton Taplin, 29; Colin Loney, 21; Kevin Slaughter Jr., 25; Destin Brogan, 22; Krison Salinas, 21;

The last four captured fugitives — Lowney, Slaughter, Brogan and Vicknair — were taken to the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, Louisiana, on Saturday to join five other captured inmates, state police said.
It’s unclear what conditions the men, three of them, are facing murder charges ——Escaped.
The arrests were made following a CREST mission by Louisiana State Police in coordination with the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office, East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office, Alexandria Police Department, Yazoo City Police Department, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole. This past week has tested our commitment with challenges including a severe winter storm and the escape of eight violent fugitives from the Riverbend Detention Center in East Carroll Parish,” state police wrote in a Facebook post.

“Law enforcement officers and first responders across Louisiana remained strong and united throughout this entire process. Agencies worked seamlessly together to protect residents and visitors, maintain public safety, and ultimately arrest all eight fugitives,” they continued. “We are proud of what we have accomplished together and remain committed to working together to protect the public – no matter the challenge. One team, one dream, one Louisiana.”

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Muriel praised the efforts of law enforcement, calling their work “outstanding.”
“Thank you @LAStatePolice and all of our Sheriff’s and local law enforcement partners for the great job they did in quickly apprehending the fugitive from the Riverbend Detention Center,” Muriel wrote in a statement. X posts.
