Alcaraz defeats Djokovic to win first Australian Open title and complete career Grand Slam


Carlos Alcaraz He became the youngest player to win his first career Grand Slam Australian Open title by defeating Novak Djokovic in four sets.

After Djokovic took the first set 6–2 at Melbourne Park, Alcaraz stormed back to win the next three sets including the fourth in which the Spaniard eventually won 7–5 despite a spirited performance from his opponent.

Djokovic, 16 years Alcaraz’s senior, remains on 24 Grand Slams as his bid to break Margaret Court’s record for most wins continues.
