In Dakar, the capital of Senegal, supporters gathered in front of an outdoor screen at the foot of the giant African Renaissance Monument, excited.
As the game unfolded, the tension became too much for some.

But his mistake and Senegal’s subsequent goal in extra time were a joy to watch in Dakar.
