A massive landslide in a coltan mine in eastern DR Congo kills at least 200 people




A massive landslide this week killed at least 200 people at the Rubaya mine in eastern DR Congo’s North Kivu province, the local governor said on Sunday. The Rubaya mine, which produces 15 to 30 percent of the world’s coltan supply, was seized by the M23 rebel group in May 2024.
