ONE Samurai 1 is scheduled to take place on April 29 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, and will feature two top strikers battling it out while vying for the interim flyweight kickboxing world title. It is part of a stacked card assembled for the latest ONE Championship Events in “The Land of the Rising Sun”.

Rodtang looks forward to a tough fight in Takeru’s rematch

When they rematch at ONE Samurai 1, Rodtang expects nothing but the best from Takeru, especially since the Japanese star said it will be his last fight.

“Iron Man” spoke about this during an in-ring interview at ONE Friday Fights 144 on February 27. Speaking through a translator, he said he realized “The Born Crusher” was looking to make a splash and be very dangerous.

Luo Tang explain:

“That fight with Takeru, I’m very excited about it. As we all know, this will also be Takeru’s last fight. As a Thai athlete, I want to ask for everyone’s support because I will bring that belt back to Thailand.”

In the final game in November, Wu He said his next fight will be his last and hopes to have Luo Tang as his opponent to redeem himself after being knocked out by the Thai superstar in just 80 seconds last March.

The rematch with Rodtang is for the interim flyweight kickboxing belt, making it possible for Takeru to remain in the tournament if he wins, as a unification match against reigning division king Superlek will follow.
