England’s Mimi Rhodes is five strokes behind leaders Hannah Green and Minjee Lee after the third round of the HSBC Women’s World Championship.

Rhodes followed up a bogey-free 68 on Thursday with a three-under 69 on Friday to move into a four-way tie for fifth at the halfway stage at Sentosa Golf Club’s Tanjong Course, but the 24-year-old dropped to a tie for 12th after three bogeys and a double bogey in a 73.

Rhodes had three wins on the Women’s European Tour, earning LET Rookie of the Year honors, then ended her season by winning a 2026 LPGA Tour card via the Q Series, but she finished behind Australians Hannah Green and Minjee Lee on the leaderboard.

Green, the 2019 Women’s PGA Championship champion and 2024 Singapore Championship winner, shot a 4-under 68 and three-time major winner Lee 69 for a three-round total of 11-under 205.

American player Angel Yoon (68 years old) and South Korean player Haeran Ryu (70 years old) tied for third.

In the final group on the eighth hole, six players were tied for the lead at 9 under.

Yin birdied the 10th green to take the lead for the first time, replacing fellow American Auston Kim, who had led the previous two rounds.

Kim lost the lead with back-to-back bogeys on the seventh and eighth holes, but it could have been worse. After seeing her ball get stuck in an off-green hazard on the eighth hole and having to return to the fairway for her fifth shot, she holed a 20-foot putt for bogey to minimize the damage.

King finished with a 73 and tied for sixth at 8 under, three strokes behind Green and Lee.

“Sure, there’s a lot of birdies to be made, but it’s easy to make bogeys,” Green said. “So I think try to limit the amount of that as much as possible.

“I’ve been hitting the ball into the greens, so if I can keep doing that, even though Minzy and I play together, we’re good friends and I don’t want to focus too much on her results.”

Yin said the third round was close.

“Good fight and good luck. Honestly, there’s not much you can do about it,” Yin said. “There were a lot of situations today, like a hole, that I hit unbelievably up and down. It was a combination of skill and luck for me. So just get lucky and get a good score.”

Lee won her first major championship at the 2021 Evian Championship, her second major championship at the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open and her third major championship at last year’s Women’s PGA Championship.

Top-ranked Gino Titiku won the tournament in her native Thailand last week with a 3-under 70.

She was tied with defending champion Lydia Ko and Brooke Henderson, who both shot 71 and were eight strokes behind the leading Australian.

This tournament is the second of three stops on the LPGA Asian Tour at the beginning of the season. The final will be held in Hainan Island, China next week.
