However, he had to be released by the team due to political conflicts between India and Bangladesh. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ordered the franchises to take this step.

Muzarabani has experience of playing in the IPL. He had previously represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2025 edition of the tournament. Muzarabani has been selected as Lungi Ngidi’s interim replacement for the remainder of the 2025 IPL season.

However, he did not play a single game for the defending champions and was released prior to the auction. With his left-arm angle and experience of bowling with both the new ball and the death ball, he could be the perfect replacement for Mustafizul.

With his lanky height of 6 feet 8 inches, he can get more bounce from the wickets of Eden Gardens, who have been providing pace and bounce of late. KKR will definitely be focusing on the T20 World Cup and find their replacement before the tournament.
