Anthony Kim reflects on his match with the LIV Golf Team
Anthony Kim talks about his experience playing on the LIV Golf team. He spoke about this in his post-game press conference on Thursday.
“I’ve only been in the team for a day, but if I didn’t like these three guys, obviously I wouldn’t have accepted to join the team,” he said (via ASAP Sports ). “I’ve played with Thomas a lot now and being with guys that I want to hang out with off the golf course is why I chose to join a team because obviously I had the option to stay a wild card. But I’m honored to be a part of the team and I think as I get better the team will have more opportunities to win.”
Kim shot 67 in the first round of the LIV Adelaide golf event. He also talked about his performance in the first round. He said:
“I hit the ball pretty well. I wish I could have made a few more putts, but I missed some short putts today, but I can get better, so keep getting better, keep working hard.”
Prior to this week’s event, Anthony Kim participated in the LIV Golf Event in Riyadh. He performed well on the greens, shooting 68, 72, 69 and 66 in four rounds, finishing tied for 22nd in the event.
Kim was demoted from LIV Golf last year but returned to the league through LIV Golf Promotions. He tied for 51st at last year’s Adelaide event. It will be interesting to see how things pan out for him in 2026.
