The opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by Tarique Rahman, was predicted to win the first election since the deadly rebellion in 2024 by a landslide, local television channels reported on Friday. Senior BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi claimed a “big victory” and urged supporters to pray instead of celebrating publicly.
