On February 12, 2026, Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium witnessed a historic clinical match of cricket, Italy surge to a crushing 10-wicket victory Nepal In game 17 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In what many considered to be a fierce sub-continental battle in Group C, Italy proved their mettle on the global stage, chasing a target of 124 points with such ferocity that fans were left in awe. The victory not only secured vital points for the Azzurri but also sent a chilling message to the rest of the group: Italy are no longer underdogs; they are a force to be reckoned with.

Italy beat Nepal with low score in 2026 T20 World Cup

The evening began with Nepal winning the toss and electing to bat, a decision that initially appeared to be the right one on a surface known for its genuine bounce. However, led by a disciplined Italian bowling unit Ben Mananti (2/9) and clinical Krishan Kalugamachi (3/18), never letting the “Rhino” find their rhythm. The match in Nepal was a story of false starts and failed tactics. Although the skipper scored a spirited 23 runs Rohit Paudel and a belated 18 Karan KCAfterwards, Nepal’s batting line-up collapsed under the constant pressure. They were eventually bowled out for 123 in 19.3 overs, failing to make the most of their quota and leaving their world-class spinners with little to defend.

Brothers Justin and Anthony Mosca blitz to lead Italy to historic win

What followed in the second innings was a batting masterclass. The Mosca brothers began the chase; Justin Mosca and Anthony Mosca Turning the Wankhede into their personal playground. From the first goal, it was clear that Italy didn’t just want to win; They want to dominate. The powerplay showcased clean hitting and surgical precision as the pair put up 68 runs in the first six overs to effectively end the match before it was too late.

Justin anchored the round with a superb 60 off 44 balls, displaying a series of classic shots and calculated loft. Anthony, meanwhile, played the role of attacker and tore apart Nepal’s premier spinners Sandeep Ramichan. Antony smashed an explosive 62 runs off just 32 deliveries, including six towering sixes, topping the boundaries with ease. The synergy between the two was evident as they reached the 50-run mark in just 24 balls and reached the century partnership in just 65 balls.

Nepal bowlers, who are usually deadly in such situations, had no answer. Lalit Rajbansh and Gursan Jha Moscas paid dearly as they used the pace of the pitch to their advantage. Italy reached the target of 124/0 in just 12.4 overs, winning with 44 balls remaining. This 10-wicket demolition significantly improved Italy’s net run-rate, making them a serious threat in the knockout stages. As the Italian fans in Mumbai erupted in celebration, it was clear that the Mosca brothers had not just won a match but written a new chapter in Italian cricket history.
