Severance will be one of Apple’s marquee titles, along with other shows like Owen Wilson staff and Kristen Wiig Palm Royale. Apple also previously acquired the sci-fi dystopian series net after its first season.
The deadline reported that the show’s production costs were more than Fifth Season could afford. The studio has asked Apple for improvements in the past and is considering moving production from New York to Canada for bigger tax rebates. Apple is also apparently helping Fifth Season not only with its budget, but also with securing advertisers.
Watching as the second season of Severance became a streamer’s most watched seriesand Apple certainly has the money to keep the show going, the company decided to pull the series entirely.
