Nancy Guthrie, The mother of “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie was last seen on the evening of January 31 at her residence in Arizona. Since then, local media have shared at least two messages from suspected kidnappers. Savannah Guthrie and her siblings Annie and Camron said in a video last week that they would “pay” to have their mother back.

Meanwhile, the FBI has been searching for Guthrie and is offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to her recovery. She was described as having difficulty walking and had problems with her pacemaker. A local man from Arizona was detained by police for questioning Tuesday in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, but was released after questioning.

Police also raided an area in Rico Riz, Arizona, involving Guthrie is missing. FBI Director Kash Patel also shared an update on the case in an interview with Fox News on Tuesday.

“Without detracting from the investigation, I will say that we have made substantial progress in the last 36 to 48 hours because of the FBI’s technical capabilities and our partnerships, and I do believe we are pursuing those who we have described as persons of interest. As you know, in any investigation, you are a person of interest until you are eliminated or you are actually found to be the culprit or the culprit involved, and that is the stage we are in right now,” Patel said.

Patel added:

“We were able to leverage information from our private sector partners that indicated to us that there may be persons of interest in and around the area. First and foremost, our first priority is to find Nancy Guthrie. Of course, the most important thing is to find anyone and anyone else involved in this kidnapping to make sure they are brought to justice. That’s what we’re doing, protecting the integrity of the investigation, but we’re also being very public.”
