In the past 24 hours, Israel’s genocidal operations resulted in the deaths of at least 38 Palestinians in Gaza, including five journalists.
Gaza’s health ministry said on Thursday that the total death toll in the Palestinian enclave since October stood at 45,399, with more than 107,000 injured.
Al Jazeera’s Anas Sharif reported that on Thursday morning, Israel attacked an OB truck parked near the Al Awada hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, causing five of the Al Quds Today television channels to Journalist died.
The journalists were identified as Fadi Hassouna, Ibrahim Sheikh Ali, Mohammed Rada, Faisal Abu Qumsan and Ayman al-Jadi.
Al Jazeera’s Sharif said Jadi was waiting in front of the hospital for his wife, who was in labor at the time and was about to give birth to their first child.
Al-Quds News Network said civil defense teams recovered the bodies of the victims and extinguished the fire at the scene.
The Israeli military claimed it had carried out “targeted” attacks on media vehicles carrying members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group and would continue operations against “terrorist groups” in Gaza. It provided no evidence to support its claims.
Israel, which does not allow foreign journalists into Gaza except at military stations, has been condemned by multiple press freedom groups, which now rank the besieged enclave as the most dangerous place in the world to report.
