Marcus Rashford has been out Barcelona A clash with the Copa del Rey Atlético Madrid Last night due to injury.
Rashford came on midway through the second half of Saturday’s 3-0 win over Real Mallorca and it has now been confirmed that he is suffering from a knee problem.
A club statement read: “Marcus Rashford has discomfort in his left knee from the blow he received in last Saturday’s match against Mallorca at the Camp Nou.
“He will miss this Thursday’s match against Atletico Madrid as a precaution.”
Barcelona have described Rashford’s absence as a “precaution” with the on-loan Manchester United man not expected to be sidelined for a significant period.
Indeed, he could return for the weekend clash with Girona as Barca look to retain Their position is at the top of La Liga.
Rashford joined the Catalan giants on an initial 12-month loan deal with Barca in July 2025, with an option to make the move permanent for a fee of £30.3 million.
The England international has scored 10 goals and added 10 assists in 34 appearances in all competitions while away from Old Trafford.
His absence from the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg at the Metropolitano is a blow for boss Hansi Flick, who are likely to be without another left-sided forward at Rafinha after the Brazil international missed training this morning.
