Four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo Both could be pursued by the Golden State Warriors. According to NBA insider Brett Siegel, the Warriors and Valkyrie owned by Joe Lacob may be potential suitors for Adebayo and Wilson respectively.

Siegel wrote that the Warriors and Valkyrie were interested in adding star power. Wilson is an unrestricted free agent and her two-year, $400,000 contract extension expired last season. In preparation for the new CBA, several WNBA players scheduled their previous contracts to become free agents before the 2026 season.

According to Siegel, the Valkyrie, who debuted last season, are targeting Wilson in free agency. Siegel added that the Warriors could be one of Adebayo’s top suitors if he requests a trade from the Miami Heat. Seager highlighted Adebayo’s connection with his former teammate, jimmy butler.

“Adebayo is certainly a player Warriors fans should keep in mind, especially since Lacob also owns the WNBA’s Golden State Warriors and wants to aggressively pursue a superstar as soon as possible,” Siegel wrote.

“Sources say four-time WNBA MVP Aja Wilson will be a key free agent target for Lacob and Valkyrie. Why does this matter to the Warriors? Well, Wilson and Adebayo have been together for years. These two becoming the faces of both teams in Golden State is certainly one to watch.”

Wilson led Las Vegas to its third WNBA championship in four seasons. She is also the reigning league MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.

Wilson and Adebayo have spent their entire careers with the teams that drafted them. Adebayo is entering his ninth NBA season in Miami, while Wilson completed eight WNBA seasons in Las Vegas.
