Things got heated as the Hornets defeated the Pistons 110-104. Miles BridgesIsaiah Stewart, Moussa Diabat and Jalen Duren Expelled from the game. Four players got into an argument and threw punches at each other.
The incident occurred with seven minutes left in the third quarter. Duren held the ball and drove to the basket, and Diabate fouled the Pistons center during his shot attempt. After the foul, the two players touched their foreheads in agreement.

Durant pushed the Hornets’ front face aside, breaking contact. Diabate pursued Duren furiously and threw punches but missed. Courtside security and the coaching staff rushed to the scene and separated the two players.
However, as Duren walked away, Miles Bridges tracked down the Pistons center. Before the melee between Bridges and Duren could get any further, Isaiah Stewart stood up from the bench and charged at Bridges.
He grabbed the Hornets player and punched him several times in the back. The referee stopped the game and reviewed the entire incident before ejecting four players.
The four players who were ejected from the game are all facing suspensions. Jalen Duren and Moussa Diabate will likely be suspended for one to two games. Isaiah Stewart, on the other hand, is looking forward to being away from the court for a long time.
The Pistons forward repeatedly made mistakes while fighting on the court. He charges at LeBron James Once in 2021 and once in 2024 punching Drew Eubanks off the field. These incidents resulted in him being suspended for two and three games respectively.
So, given his past record. Stewart is expected to be suspended for five games. As for Miles Bridges, he could leave with a fine and disciplinary warning. The Hornets player has no history of violence.
Jalen Duren reveals what he really thought about altercation with Miles Bridges, Moussa Diabate
Jalen Duren was interviewed by the media after the game. When asked about the incident, the Pistons center labeled the game an overly competitive one.
“It’s a lot of emotion,” Duren said. “At the end of the day, we’d love to keep basketball, but things happen. Everybody’s trying to play.”
Later, Duren explained that the Hornets were trying to piss him and his teammates off.
“This isn’t the first time that people have tried to be more aggressive with us and talk down to us, no matter the situation. But as a team, we’ve done a good job of handling that energy and intensity. At the end of the day, everyone is competing and emotions are high. Things happen.”
While Duren spoke to the media, Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabate did not. The Pistons play the Raptors next Wednesday.
