Australian police defend actions following protest violence


Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who will meet Herzog later on Tuesday, said he was “shocked” by the scenes, which he said “should not have happened” but defended the invitation to Herzog and said protesters had “sabotaged” their cause at the protests.
