King Charles III said he would “support” British police investigating claims his brother, the former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, shared classified information with a convicted sex offender Jeffrey EpsteinBuckingham Palace confirmed in a statement on Monday.
“The King has made clear, in unprecedented words and actions, his deep concern at the allegations that continue to emerge about Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s conduct,” the palace said.

“While the allegations in question are for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to deal with, if approached by Thames Valley Police we are prepared to support them as you would expect,” it continued.
The statement came after Thames Valley Police, which serves three counties in southeast England, including where Mountbatten-Windsor once lived, said on Monday it was “assessing” reports that the former prince sent trade secrets to Epstein in 2010.

The department previously said it was investigating allegations that Epstein brought a young woman to the UK to have sex with Andrew that same year.
Earlier on Monday, the Prince and Princess of Wales released a brief statement, saying they were “deeply concerned” by the recent revelations.
A spokesman said Prince William and Princess Catherine were “focused on the victims” following the release of new information about the former prince and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
Andrew is also accused of having sexual relations with Virginia Giuffreone of Epstein’s most outspoken victims – who died by suicide last April – when she was 17, which he has denied.
The former prince had a well-documented friendship with the late New York financier, which came under renewed scrutiny last September ahead of the US president Donald Trumpa visit to King Charles, when a series of pictures of Donald Trump, Jeffrey Epstein, and Prince Andrija they were projected onto the outer walls Windsor Castle.
The king stripped Mountbatten-Windsor of his royal titles and removed him from the royal residence last year because of his alleged relationship with Epstein.
