However, it has allowed one player to flourish, as can be seen from the impressive numbers the former player has produced since taking charge last month.
Bruno Fernandes has made remarkable progress under Carrick
During Manchester United’s Amorim era, club captain Bruno Fernandez Often asked to play in a holding midfield role rather than his preferred No. 10 position.
The Portugal international remains the club’s bright spot with 37 goals to his name, but this has certainly diminished his performance in the final third.
Carrick’s arrival moves the Red Devils’ number eight further forward, allowing him to play a key role under the interim manager over the past few weeks.

Manchester United star is emerging as one of the best alongside Fernandes
There is no denying that Manchester United have performed well below many people’s expectations in recent years, as evidenced by their dismal results in the Premier League.

The Red Devils reportedly paid £71m for the Cameroonian, but that fee now looks like a bargain given his recent performances at Old Trafford.
He has been forced to play in a different position since his big-money move but, like Bruno, has a more natural role at the top of the pitch.
The 26-year-old has now started every game since Carrick’s arrival and the manager’s continued faith in him has seen him perform at incredible levels.
Carrick has scored three goals in four games in charge so far, with last weekend’s strike against Tottenham taking his tally to nine in the league this season.
His underlying statistics this season also underline his importance to United, with the attacker having cemented himself as one of the club’s most important players.
