Glasgow rangers They seemed to have pulled off a coup when they signed Andreas Skov-Olsen on loan from Wolfsburg in the January transfer window.
Denmark international joins Germany Priced at £12 million The transfer fee in January last year was equivalent to the club record signing of Tore Andre Flo by the Gers.
However, Skov Olsen is worth so much because of his outstanding performance during his three and a half seasons with Club Brugge, contributing at least 16 goals in each season.
Unfortunately, the left-footed star failed to maintain his form against Wolfsburg, scoring just two goals in 20 Bundesliga games, but their loss was Rangers’ gain.

How Skov Olsen ranks among Rangers’ January signings
We’re only into the second week of February so it’s too early to make a definitive assessment, but all four of the club’s January signings have now played multiple games in all competitions.
Rangers strengthened their squad with the signings of Toul Romens, Tochi Chukwani, Skov Olsen and Ryan Naderi, spending around £12m on the three permanent players.
Judging from their performances so far in the Light Blues, Romanes looks to be the best piece of business for a £3m transfer fee after two impressive performances.
The Belgian defender created two “great chances” and set up Oliver Antmann against Kilmarnock, then was exceptionally composed and dangerous in the final third in the 8-0 win over Queens Park.

Chukovani also looks to be an excellent addition to Storm Graz. He has won eight ground duels in his first two Premier League games and scored his first goal for the club in Sunday’s cup tie.
Ryan Naderi also scored his first two goals in the Light Blues’ win over Queen’s Park, which is why we rate him at 7.5/10, but he is yet to provide a goal or assist in the league.
To his credit, Skov Olsen did score against Kilmarnock, but he has struggled in the other three games and barely featured against a Championship side in Sunday’s cup tie, which is why he is currently rated just 7/10.
Former Rangers loanee now more talented than Skov Olsen
The Scottish giants have had some outstanding loan players over the years, including Vaclav Cerny and Abdallah Simma over the past two seasons, but one among them is currently shining in Europe.
While Skov Olsen looks like a coup on paper as Wolfsburg paid £12m for him last year, Malik Tillman is now more talented than the Danish forward nearly three years after leaving Ibrox.
The United States international is on loan at Ibrox from Bayern Munich for the 2022/23 season and they had the option to sign him permanently, but the German side bought him out before selling him to PSV for £10.4m, which would have made him the second-highest signing in Rangers’ history for that price.
Unfortunately, after Tillman scored 12 goals in all competitions as an attacking midfielder for the Light Blues, Rangers have had to watch his performances elsewhere in Europe over the past three years.
The German-born star made 75 appearances for PSV during his time in the Netherlands, scoring 25 goals and providing 19 assists, before being praised by reporters for his “world-class” finishing Hercules Gomez.
His regular goalscoring involvement at PSG earned him a huge £35m move to Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
However, unlike Skov Olsen, Tillman successfully promoted to the Bundesliga. So far this season, he has played 16 times for Leverkusen, scoring 4 goals and assisting 1, which has caused his value to soar.

Former Rangers loanee, journalist Jonny MacFarlane Claims to have “retractable limbs”Transfermarkt currently values him at £30m, which is significantly higher than the £8.7m option the Gers have with Skow Olsen to buy.
It’s fair to say that Tillman currently looks more talented than the Danish winger due to his market value and his performances in the league, while Skov Olsen has struggled at Wolfsburg.
While Rangers hope the Denmark international will become a star at Ibrox, some may still be wondering what would happen if the club were successful in signing Tillman.
