Light is not just something else Super Mario movie is in theaters this year. the Minions is back, and for their third solo show, they’re making more trouble by calling up some great friends.

Directed by Pierre Coffin-who not only voiced them, but directed the first film and the Despicable Me trilogy where they come from—Minions and Monsters sees a collection of yellow men trying to make a play at being Hollywood actors. They crushed it, but they also had dreams of getting behind the camera and making a monster movie. But how to get a monster? Well, there’s always using a powerful arcane spellbook to summon one!

The said monster, which looks like a little Cthulu, is not exactly what they are looking for. The good news is, he has bigger friends to call on. As for the bad news… well, these new monsters are bigger and better suited to wreak havoc, which they love to do. So it now falls to the Minions to save the world because they started it all, and maybe make the movie of their dreams along the way.
