British journalist and media personality Piers Morgan has given a firm response to a fan on X who claimed Cristiano Ronaldo has become a crybaby amid his ongoing strike. Morgan, who is close to Ronaldo, insists the Portuguese ace has revolutionized the Saudi professional league and is simply seeking to level the playing field.
Cristiano Ronaldo is currently on strike at the Al-Nasser Stadium and has refused to take part in their two recent matches against Riyadh and Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Professional League. The 41-year-old is said to be unhappy with the PIF favoring rivals Al Hilal over Al Nasr in the winter transfer window. The situation escalated further after they recently approved Karim Benzema’s transfer from the Etihad to Al Hilal.

A Saudi Arabian fan recently asked Piers Morgan on X if he had a chance to speak to Cristiano Ronaldo about his protests, to which the former replied:
“Yes I do, but this will remain between @Cristiano and me. Suffice it to say, I completely understand why he feels the way he does and he has my support.”
Another fan then hit back at Morgan’s comments, slamming Ronaldo:
“He has turned into a cry baby. He has failed miserably in the last three years. They have brought in a lot of top players for him this summer. Spoiled!”
Morgan then replied:
“Bullshit. Cristiano revolutionized Saudi football in a way that no one else could. He just wanted a level playing field.”
Cristiano Ronaldo transfers to Nasser In January 2023, the Saudi professional league changed forever and since then, many European superstars have followed in his footsteps. While Al Nasr signed the likes of Joao Felix, Inigo Martinez and Kingsley Coman in the summer, Ronaldo was reportedly upset by their inactivity over the winter.
