Last year, we learned pop star Charli XCX would headline and produce a new horror flick from Japanese creator Takashi Miike. What is the first sound an amazing team-up so now… well, it’s still weird, but it looks like it has the potential to be fun as hell when it comes out.
Per The deadlinethe film was officially dubbed Untitled Tokyo and saw XCX as “possessed by a violent, tormented spirit.” She will play Katie, one of three best friends who reunite in Japan after years of separation. Unfortunately, their girls’ trip takes a turn when a spirit takes her and all hell breaks loose. Production for No title begins in March, and now we know who else will be joining the cast alongside Charli: Supergirl star Milly Alcock, It’s Walking Dead Norman Reedus, and Show Kasamatsu (Vice in Tokyo). Actress-model-singer Kiko Mizuhara (Attack on Titan) will play the spirit at the heart of it all.
Untitled Tokyo marks the latest acting turn for Charli XCX, who appeared last year 100 Nights of Heroes and this year The Chance (which he also wrote and produced) and The Gallerist. It’s not his first time to have a panic either, because he’s in the Faces of Death remake coming in April. We have more about Untitled Tokyo as the news came out.
