The pacer was in hot form as he finished with figures of 3/29 in four overs. Fans praised Siraj for his outstanding performance after his comeback.

Mohammad Siraj was not initially in India’s plans for the 2026 T20 World Cup. The pacer is not even in the team sheet. He left the format and last played T20I in July 2024.
However, Harshit Rana suffered a last-minute injury and was ruled out a day before the 2026 T20 World Cup. Siraj was subsequently called up as his replacement. He was also announced for the match against the United States after coming on in the final hour.
Siraj grabbed the opportunity with both hands and helped India start this World Cup with a win. He will be keen to continue this momentum and continue to perform well throughout the tournament.
