Cuba to protect basic services




Cuba is introducing emergency austerity measures as a deepening fuel and electricity crisis grips the island. With dwindling oil supplies and increasing pressure on the US, authorities have shortened the work week, reduced transportation services and closed some tourist sites. Residents face long walks home, power outages and growing uncertainty about what lies ahead. Shirli Sitbon has the story.
