Here’s how the US accepted Danish control of Greenland 100 years ago.



In 1917, the United States purchased the Caribbean islands from Denmark and agreed to respect Denmark’s ownership of Greenland. The deal resurfaced after President Trump’s recent threats to seize Greenland.
