MS NOW’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski fought back tears while discussing the news Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother On Tuesday, her co-hosts reflected on their relationship with the anchor of NBC’s “Today” show.
Brzezinski noted many of the day’s headlines — including News about Nancy Guthrie’s Brzezinski’s husband, Joe Scarborough, grabbed tissues as he spoke about Guthrie.
“She was a good friend to all of us. I know Willie worked with her more, but, you know, she’s been a friend of ours since the show started. She’s been on the show a lot, and Willie, it’s just shocking news,” Scarborough said. “We prayed, we prayed non-stop for her safe return.”
Nancy Guthrie, 84, last seen Tucson Residential Saturday around 9:30 p.m., according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. While officials did not immediately elaborate on the circumstances of her disappearance, Sheriff Chris Nanos said Monday, “We did, in fact, commit a crime.”

Co-host Willie Geist, who occasionally guest-stars on NBC’s “Today,” says all things Savannah Guthrie Requesting Now it’s time to pray.
“I can tell you that all Savannah is asking for right now is prayers. As you all know, she is very proud of her faith,” Guest said. “Her mother too.”
“When Nancy didn’t go to church on Sunday, her fellow believers called her brothers and sisters in Savannah,” he continued. “It’s just unthinkable. Shocking doesn’t do it justice.”
“Nancy Guthrie, a kind, loving, intelligent, and loyal woman I have had the privilege of knowing for the past 15 years,” Guest added. “None of us can believe this. So we just want to support Savannah, her husband and her kids. Nancy is a great mother and grandmother, and we just pray. I think if you believe in prayer, whatever positive energy or love you can send out this morning, I know Savannah will appreciate it.”

Brzezinski said there were “no words” for what happened.
Savannah Guthrie posted a request for prayer on Instagram on Monday.
“We believe in prayer. We believe in a chorus of voices in love and hope. We believe in kindness. We believe in humanity. Most of all, we believe in Him,” she wrote, along with a photo that read, “Please pray.”
