The wicketkeeper-batsman reached his century in just 47 balls, setting the tone for India A’s dominant batting performance. Jagadeesan’s batting was a mixture of clean hitting and smart placement, including 11 fours and 4 sixes for a strike rate of nearly 190.

After Priyansh Arya’s fall, Jagadisan quickly took control of the innings. His ability to accelerate without taking undue risks has American bowlers scrambling for answers on pitches suitable for batting.

Tilak Varma marks return with smooth knock

Tilak Varma, who returned from injury, performed well with 24 off 38 balls. Batting at No. 3, the left-handed batsman played with confidence and focus, scoring over 158 and spinning the ball effectively. His partnership with Jagadeesan was crucial for India A to cross the 150-run mark in the 14th over.

Tilak’s appearance also provided balance to the midfield order and reassured the team management before the main game. He was dismissed shortly after half-time, but that did little to slow down India A’s momentum.

Ayush Badoni finished with 238 for India A

Captain Ayush Badoni ensured that there would be no let-up in the deaths. Badoni smashed an unbeaten 60 off just 26 balls, showing off his finishing ability with a string of boundaries and a six. India A ended their tournament with a staggering 238 for 3 wins and 1 loss.

The American bowlers struggled to contain the attack, conceding most over 10 runs despite taking turns throughout the innings.

America’s fierce pursuit fails to materialize

Chasing the daunting goal of 239, the United States showed intent early but was always playing catch-up. Andries Gous’s knock of 44 and Sanjay Krishnamurthi’s 41 off just 18 balls kept the chase alive for the time being.

However, regular wickets halted any sustained momentum. India A’s bowling attack, led by Ravi Bishnoi, kept the pressure on in the middle order. Bishnoi took three wickets while Khalil Ahmed and Naman Dhir shared four wickets.
