You never know what you’ll be asked during Super Bowl media coverage, but for the New England Patriots quarterback Derek Meyerwho doesn’t mind a little ranking question regarding his wife Ann Michael’s baking.

Meyer was in just his second game this week in Santa Clara helping the Patriots play in the “big game” National Football League During the season, he was asked to rank four of his wife’s recipes, which were talked about throughout the season. Ann Michael shares her recipes on TikTok, some of which go viral during what she calls holiday “Bakemas.”

The Patriots signal-caller already knows what his top picks are in the kitchen.

“Cinnamon roll Snickers bars, she just made those for the O-line this week,” Meyer said with a laugh. That’s my number one. “

Afterwards, he had to think about it.

“Puppy food, I would put puppy food at number three. Pistachio bread, I think it’s delicious. I’m not a fan, (so) I would put that at number four. Crushed sugar cookies? Yeah, put that at number two.”

With everyone on the Patriots and Seattle Seahawks teams filled with nerves and anticipation for this week’s games, questions like this might make things a little easier.

It’s always good for the Patriots to have some fresh baked goods as a treat before the Super Bowl. Remember a few years ago when Donna Kelce brought her sons Jason and Travis Kelce some homemade cookies before the Super Bowl?

Maye has spoken out on Ann Michael’s TikTok in the past, calling her a “superstar” with more than 200,000 followers.

“(She’s) doing a little journey of ‘Bakemas’ right now. I can try out everything she bakes. I try to bring some leftovers into the building,” Meyer told “WEEI PM.”

“She’s been a great addition to me, being able to live here with me.”

Meyer enjoys talking about his wife’s baking, but he knows this week is still a business trip to the West Coast. The Patriots turned things around quickly under new head coach Mike Vrabel, winning the AFC East title and winning three playoff games on their way to the Super Bowl.

However, Meyer hasn’t been his usual, consistent self on the court, which we’ve seen throughout the season on his way to becoming an MVP candidate. Although he had four touchdowns and two interceptions, he failed to complete better than 59 percent of his passes in three games.

Meyer threw for just 86 yards in the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos, although snowy weather played a big factor in that.

With perfect weather expected in the Bay Area on Sunday night, Meyer should have the right conditions to get back in the saddle and try his luck against the Seahawks’ top-tier defense this season.
