Washington puts pressure on Venezuela’s interim leader on post-Maduro ‘transition’




Venezuela’s interim president, Delcy Rodriguez, consolidated her new government on Monday by appointing key ministers and meeting with new Washington chargé d’affaires Laura Doga in Caracas to discuss US plans for “stabilization, economic recovery, reconciliation and transition.” Foreign Minister Yvan Gil said the talks focused on bridging the historical differences between the two countries.
