Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsson for a club record fee of £48m.
The 25-year-old was wanted by Newcastle last summer but signed a new contract before resuming interest this winter.
He was widely expected to replace Jean-Philippe Mateta, but will now play alongside the Frenchman. AC Milan passed.
Strand Larsson has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal, while Palace could also sign Everton midfielder Dwight McNeill.
Strand Larsson scored 14 goals for Wolves in the 2024-25 campaign to help them avoid relegation worries and will aim to do the same at Palace, who have gone 12 games without a win in all competitions.
Palace chairman Steve Parish said: “We are delighted that Jorgen has chosen to continue his impressive journey with us and look forward to seeing him in action at Selhurst Park.
“I am sure he will prove himself a valuable asset for years to come.”
Strand Larsson, 25, added: “I’m really excited to be coming to Crystal Palace. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
“I’m here to bring energy and goals and do my best for the club.”
