The January transfer window is heading towards the 7pm deadline, but there are still plenty of deals to be done before the market closes on Monday evening.
It has been a largely quiet winter window compared to previous years, but a number of clubs are expected to make last-minute signing moves as they look to cover injury concerns or strengthen their squads for the second half of the campaign.
The Premier League is expected to be a busy market in the remaining hours, with the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton and Arsenal all looking to monitor potential opportunities.

The Liverpool defender is closing in on the jacket
Rennes defender Jeremy is set to undergo a medical with Jackett Liverpool A proposed £60m move ahead, although the centre-back will not join the club until the summer.
The two clubs have agreed in principle a deal worth £55m plus £5m in add-ons. If completed, the 20-year-old will sign a five-year contract at Anfield until the summer of 2031, with the option of a further year.
Jackett, a France Under-21 international, is attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs. Chelsea are understood to have held talks with the defender during the winter transfer window but are not expected to match Liverpool’s offer.
Liverpool are keen to strengthen their centre-back options, particularly with Ibrahima Konate’s contract due to expire at the end of the current season. The Reds missed out on Marc Guhi last summer, with the England international instead completing a move to Manchester City in January.
Jackett is a product of Rennes’ academy and has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season. His consistent performances have raised his profile and made him one of the most sought-after young defenders in European football.
Fulham rejected Everton’s bid for Wilson
Fulham Everton have rejected an approach for midfielder Harry Wilson.
The Toffees made an inquiry for the 28-year-old last week, but were knocked back by Fulham, who are unwilling to sanction a sale during the January transfer window.
Wilson is out of contract at the end of the season and will be free to leave in the summer, but head coach Marco Silva has made it clear there is “zero chance” of the Wales international’s departure this month.
Instead, Fulham have prioritized their efforts to secure Wilson’s long-term future at Craven Cottage. He initially joined the club on loan from Liverpool in July 2021 before making the move permanent.
Since arriving, Wilson has made 173 appearances in all competitions, scoring 34 goals and providing 43 assists.
However, as previously reported, discussions on a new contract are currently stalled due to external transfer interest. It is also understood that Wilson wants more clarity on Silva’s own future, with the Fulham manager also out of contract before penning a new deal this summer.
Wolves have agreed a £48m deal with Crystal Palace for Strand Larsson
Wolves have accepted an improved £48m offer from Crystal Palace for striker Jørgen Strand Larsson.
The two clubs last week agreed a £50m deal in principle which would have seen the Norway international move to Selhurst Park, with Wolves indicating they are ready to move once a formal bid is submitted.
However, as previously reported, Palace did not lodge a written offer at that valuation and instead signaled their intention to back out of the deal, putting the transfer at risk.
Sources suggest Palace’s hesitation was motivated by concerns over the overall cost of the move rather than any doubts about the player himself.
Mateta’s move to AC Milan is expected to accelerate
Jean-Philippe Mateta’s proposed move to AC Milan is expected to accelerate following Crystal Palace’s imminent agreement to sign Jørgen Strand Larsson from Wolves.
The 28-year-old has made it clear he wants to leave Selhurst Park for the San Siro, but Palace are reluctant to sanction his departure without lining up his transfer first.
With Strand Larsson now set to arrive, sources suggest Palace are increasingly open to allowing Metta to leave during this window, provided they receive a fee in the region of £35m to £40m.
It is unclear whether Milan is willing to meet that valuation. The Serie A side are believed to be in favor of a deal closer to £30m plus add-ons, which would still be less than Palace’s current asking price.
Nottingham Forest had a £35m bid rejected for Mateta last weekend, although the France international remains focused on a move to Milan.
Tonali is not for sale amid arsenal interest
Newcastle United have made it clear that midfielder Sandro Tonali is not for sale.
Reports suggested Arsenal were considering a late move for the Italy international ahead of the transfer deadline.
However, it is understood from Newcastle that no formal approach has been made and that the club has no intention of sanctioning Tonali’s departure.
Everton are close to Chelsea’s George
Everton are closing in on signing Chelsea winger Tyrique George on an initial loan deal that includes an option to buy.
The England Under-21 international is traveling to Merseyside to undergo a medical ahead of the proposed deadline-day move.
George has attracted interest from other Premier League sides as well as a club in Europe, but Everton have moved quickly to progress negotiations.
Chelsea have been open to selling the 19-year-old since last summer due to his limited first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge. Fulham agreed a £22m deal to sign the academy graduate during the summer window, but later withdrew their interest to pursue alternative winger targets in Kevin and Samuel Chukwueze.
Everton’s move for George comes with Jack Grealish facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines. The England forward, currently on loan from Manchester City, is likely to require surgery on a fractured foot and is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to manager David Moyes.
George has scored six goals and registered six assists in 37 appearances since breaking into Chelsea’s first team last season.
