Cescow enjoys ‘unbelievable’ win and says Man Utd heading for more ‘great results’ under Carrick

Benjamin Cesko called it an “unbelievable” victory after his stoppage-time goal Manchester United’s 3-2 win over Fulham.

United blew a two-goal lead after Kevin’s stunner in stoppage time but Cesko scored the winner minutes later to give the Red Devils their third successive win under Michael Carrick.

After controlling Bruno Fernandes’ pass across goal, the substitute took a touch before coolly firing the ball into the back of the net to spark bedlam at Old Trafford.

The striker told Sky Sports: “It was unbelievable. To score at home and score the winner is unbelievable. I was dreaming about it and dreaming that I could do it.

“We all know as a team how important these results are. We’re on a really good run at the moment and we hope we can continue to work hard like this to win games.

“I’m really happy that I could help the team. We can now continue our streak.”

‘Great results’ to continue under Carrick

Carrick has overseen wins over Manchester City, Arsenal and now Fulham since returning to United as an interim and Cescco says the former midfielder has brought unity to the squad since his arrival.

He added: “It’s true, he’s said these things to the team many times. That’s what we’re doing.

“But it’s not just that, you can see how hard we work for each other without the ball and that also contributes to good results in the end.

“The work rate is definitely different. Everyone is on point and covering their spots. In the end, that’s what counts.

“The goal is to continue like this. We want to focus on our work and what we have to do. We work as hard as we can and focus on every moment. All this will lead to good results.”

United are now fourth in the Premier League, above Chelsea and Liverpool, while they are now just five points off third-placed Aston Villa.
