Pakistan says ‘yes’ to T20 World Cup, but ‘no’ to India clash; boycott ROCKS Global Cricket


The Pakistani government’s refusal to allow the Pakistan national cricket team to participate in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup against the Indian national cricket team is a huge development that could backfire.

However, the government has given a green signal to the Salman Agar-led side to participate in the mega tournament co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan formally boycotts conflict with India

“The Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has approved the participation of the Pakistan Cricket Team in the ICC World T20 2026, however, the Pakistan Cricket Team will not be allowed to participate in the match against India on February 15, 2026,” an official statement said.
