If Pakistan does not participate, who will replace them?
Pakistan, which had supported Bangladesh over their refusal to travel to India for security reasons, has been canceled after Bangladesh were eliminated by the ICC and replaced by Scotland. According to the latest reports, Bengal Tigers will be on standby if Pakistan opts out of the T20 World Cup.
However, despite the uncertainty surrounding the Men in Green’s participation in the World Cup, the players have already booked a trip to Sri Lanka, where the team plans to be based for the duration of the tournament. All eyes will be on the news coming out of Pakistan on Monday. Since they are grouped with India, the match is scheduled to be played on February 15, 2026.
