Vaibhav Suryavanshi fails again against Pakistan; Ayush Mhatre takes duck in IND U19 vs PAK U19

India star Vaibhav Suryavanshi suffered yet another defeat against Pakistan U19 as he was dropped in the power play. Skipper Ayush Mhatre’s two-ball duck in the innings further disappointed.

India U-19 team will take on Pakistan U-19 team in the ongoing ICC U-19 World Cup Super Six match. While dynamic batsman Suryavanshi was India’s hope for a good start, he too failed to make an impact this time around.

India lost to Pakistan in the Youth Asia Cup and even then, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s bat failed to perform well. This time, too, they were on the verge of another collapse. Mohammad Sayyam has been a constant threat for the Indian starlet.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi leaves after a good start; Ayush Mhatre follows with a duck

Pakistan started with their pace bowling duo, Mohammad Sayyam taking over with the new ball along with Ali Raza. Sayyam returned to bowl in the 8th over of India’s batting innings when Suryavanshi performed well in the powerplay.

On the third ball of the over, he slipped one and, according to their reputation, Pakistan failed to catch the ball. Then they had a chance to kick him out because there was chaos in the middle. Huzafar also missed opportunities to catch the ball and run.

However, the farce ended at the next ball, as Pakistan staged a classic. Sayyam also had a short ball this time, and Suryavanshi turned to pull and gained a slight advantage, but was caught by Hamza Zahoor who dived to the right.

India captain Ayush Maitre came on next and was dismissed after facing two balls. India seemed to be on the verge of collapse again, with their two key heads back in the dugout.
