People chanted “Trump Act Now!” Hundreds of people packed New York City’s Fifth Avenue on a sunny Saturday afternoon anti-iranian regime protesters Condemned the theocratic regime in Tehran and called on the United States to take action against Iran.

“We want freedom for the Iranian people,” said protester Sarah Shahi. “We want to eliminate, by any means necessary, this theocracy that has been depriving its people of their rights. When so many people are being killed, we need help.”

Protesters gathered across the street from the residence Ambassador of Iran to the United Nations and called for the overthrow of the Tehran regime.

This gorgeous 19th-century limestone townhouse was originally purchased by the Iranian government under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who ruled Iran from 1941 to 1979. Since then, it has been the official residence of the country’s United Nations representatives. There have been few protests at the site, but at one point, overnight, someone spray-painted the words “terrorist” and “killer” on the front facade.

The building’s location is one of the most unique in the area upper east sidediagonally across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and less than a block from the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis House.

One protester’s sign showed a photo of Amir Saeed Irawani, Iran’s current ambassador to the United Nations, and read “A terrorist lives here.”

“For the people islamic republic It’s just so unfair to live here,” Shahi said. “But this is the closest we have to an embassy” as a protest site.

Since Iran has no diplomatic relations with the United States, the building is the only property owned by the Iranian government in the country.

President Trump has Order U.S. warships Deploying it within striking distance of Iran as he considers potential attacks on the regime’s nuclear program, oil and military targets. The rally comes in response to Iran’s continued support for terrorism and brutal mass killings of protesters, with an estimated 30,000 people killed for taking part in anti-regime street demonstrations.

The protesters in Manhattan were supporters of Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, the late king’s son. For weeks, he has been speaking out against the Pahlavi regime as its brutal repression continues. Pahlavi has been in exile for 47 years, since his father fled and the Iranian revolution ushered in a regime of hard-line, religiously anti-American mullahs.

The protesters’ chants were no less impassioned than those of their brethren who poured in. iranian city streets. Banners called for “an end to the Iranian regime” and “brave Iranians are fighting on the ground. The United States and Israel must act now against a common enemy.” Other banners proclaimed “Say no to the Islamic Republic regime” and “Make Iran great again.”

Protesters say they are waiting for President Trump to take military action against the regime so that the country can finally taste freedom.
