South Korean boy group ENHYPEN has helped drive a huge increase in blood donations across South Korea. With the release of their album Sin: disappearthe organization launched a special campaign to promote blood donation and social sharing in partnership with the Korean Red Cross Society.

ENHYPEN launches blood donation campaign, new album sales exceed 2 million in first week
Through a notice on January 14, fans are invited to donate blood at designated centers in Seoul such as Sinchon, Gangnam Station, and Seongsu Center, as well as mobile blood donation buses. These mobile donation buses run in conjunction with the group’s musical performances, presentations and visits to HYBE’s Yongsan headquarters.

The collaboration was formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the Korean Red Cross Society and BELIFT LAB, an agency of ENHYPEN, to advance social contribution and sharing initiatives.
The campaign was deemed successful in encouraging younger generations to participate in blood donation, while expanding the overall donor base. Kwon Soyoung, Director of the Blood Management Headquarters of the Korean Red Cross Society, highlighted the impact of the initiative, stating:
“Although blood reserves are still at critical levels due to the overlap of winter cold and school holidays, the active participation of ENHYPEN fans ‘ENGENE’ has greatly helped the blood supply.”
She emphasized the importance of connecting blood donations to fan culture.
“This campaign is meaningful because it changes the perception of blood donation from a difficult or rigid behavior to a part of the fan culture shared with artists. We will work to ensure that first-time blood donors who join through this campaign become regular blood donors,” she added.
