‘Technical failure’ causes mass blackouts in Ukraine




On Saturday, Ukraine reported massive power outages in its power grid due to a “technical fault” on international transmission lines. The power restrictions come as Ukraine faces a particularly harsh winter and increased Russian attacks on energy infrastructure that have caused major disruptions in heating, electricity and water supplies in recent weeks.
