Despite Musk’s admission that he refused to visit Epstein’s private island, Little St. James, and knowing that Epstein was a “creep,” the documents contain several instances of Musk discussing such visits, coordinating times and dates and helicopter pickups.

Although some efforts have reached advanced planning stages, it is unclear whether any visits have taken place.

Musk’s own emails show him seeking out Epstein for parties. On December 25, 2012, responding to an invitation to the island, Musk WRITES: “Do you have any parties planned? I’m working until the end of sanity this year and so, once my kids come home after Christmas, I really want to hit the party scene in St Barts or somewhere and let loose.” He continued by explaining that while he appreciated Epstein’s invitation, “a peaceful island experience was the opposite of what I was looking for.”

Epstein responded, saying that he understood and invited her to St Barts, because “the ratio of my island may not be comfortable with Talilah.” Musk ANSWERED“the ratio is not a problem in Talulah.”

At the same time, the correspondence between the two has many instances where Musk actively talks about visiting Epstein’s private island and plans to do so. On September 25, 2012, Epstein invited Musk, writing: “If you find time, visit me on my island in the caribbean. Bring your friend or friends. I’ll be there most of nov and december.” Musk responded positively the same day: “Short good, try it.”

In the weeks that followed, the emails moved from vague invitations to concrete planning. In October 2012, Musk Epstein said that he and his ex-wife, Talulah Musk, were in the Caribbean at the end of the year and believed Epstein was on his island. Epstein replied that Musk’s guess was correct and offered transportation, writing: “a quick but correct guess…we can either get to ny, or I’ll send a heli to st bart for you, 45 minutes away.”

Exchanges are then narrowed in time. On November 2, 2012, Musk asked Epstein directly: “What would be a good time to come between December 23 and 30?” Epstein ANSWERED that it would be “Maybe after Christmas day. Any day, let’s pick a sunny one,” adding, “You’re glad to come.” Musk followed up by suggesting firm dates: “We’re aiming for December 28, 29 or 30. Looking forward to it.”

The pattern continued the following year. In November 2013, Epstein invited again Musk is going to the Caribbean for Christmas. “Are you going to the Caribbean this Christmas?” Epstein asked, adding that “woody allen” was with him. Musk replied: “Yes.” Epstein replied: “good.”

In December 2013, emails became logistical again. Musk Epstein said he is in the British Virgin Islands and St. Barts on holidays and asked when would be a good time to visit. Epstein replied that “any day 1st – 8th” would work and added, “always space for you.” Musk followed up: “When are we going to your island on the 2nd?” Epstein replied that January 2 or 3 would be “perfect” and said he would “come and get you.”

A few days later, Epstein cancelledwhich deals with work obligations. “I’m really looking forward to finally spending some time together with fun as the agenda,” she wrote to Musk.

Internal scheduling documents further validate the planning. A calendar prepared by Epstein’s assistant, Lesley Groff, for December 6, 2014, included a note that read: “Elon Musk to the island December 6 (is this still happening?).” Separate logs from January 2013 also show Epstein informing a colleague that he was “meeting Elon Musk for lunch.”

The documents also show that Epstein visited SpaceX in California in late February 2013. On February 22, 2013, Epstein’s assistant, Lesley Groff, emailed Musk saying: “I have sent you a copy of all 3 passports of the girls (sorry (redacted) reversed!

Two days later, on February 24, 2013, Epstein described the planned visit clearly in an email sent to Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick, wrote: “the girls and I will see Elon Musk in space x tomorrow, will you be there,” while coordinating transportation and logistics in Southern California and announced elsewhere in the thread that he was already in Long Beach. The next day, February 25, Groff confirmed that the visit was planned in another email, writing that “Jeffrey Epstein and 3 of his assistants are in CA and will be going to SpaceX at 1:00 today, Monday February 25.”

Epstein, on February 26, 2013, emailed Musk thanked for his tour. “I hope you enjoy Christmas.” Musk responded and said “I see,” with a smiley face.

The documents do not identify the women, state their ages or describe what happened during the visit to SpaceX itself.

In fact, in September 2013, Epstein contacted Musk about potential plans surrounding the opening of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. “Any plans for,” Epstein WRITESand added that “the opening of the general assembly had many interesting people who came to the house.” Musk responded a few hours later, declining the invitation. “I run and lead product design/engineering for two complex companies. Also, SpaceX is about to launch what may be the most advanced rocket in history. Flying to NY to see UN diplomats idle is an unwise use of time,” Musk wrote. Later that same day, Epstein responded with a comment that made fun of the social scene, writing: “Just kidding, no one is over 25 and everyone is cute.” The email chain ended there, with no sign of further response or attendance.

The document is also set including a photo Epstein sent on July 12, 2013, to another person whose name has been redacted. The image shows a woman sitting outside on the grass wearing a black T-shirt with the word “SpaceX” printed on the chest. His face was hidden in the version that was made. There is no accompanying text explaining who the woman is, how she got the shirt, or where the photo was taken.

Representatives for Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment. At X, Musk responded “wow” to a Daily Mail article discussing Bill Gates’ discussion of the Epstein files. On the other hand he kept silent about the documents.

Epstein’s interest in Musk’s ventures

Epstein appears to have an interest in Musk’s businesses.

“Is there anyone in Solar City that my guys can talk to about electrifying a caribbean island? or a new mexico ranch,” Epstein WRITES to Musk on October 4, 2012. Musk forwarded the email to SolarCity co-founder and first cousin Peter Rive, asking, “Are we in New Mexico?”

SolarCity is a solar energy services company of which Musk is the chairman and largest stakeholder. Tesla acquired the company for $2.6 billion in 2016, and it eventually becoming Tesla Energy.

In 2013, Epstein spoke with Musk about a potential Tesla expansion in Israel, writing in a email that Ehud Barak, former Israeli prime minister and defense minister, wanted to discuss with Musk bringing Tesla to Israel.

“He is very intelligent about many things that you have previously shown interest in, when you are next on my shores let me know,” Epstein wrote.

Musk replied, “Understood, how are you in Santa Fe for August, visit,” and later, “Not a week goes by without a request from someone important in Israel (and other countries) who wants to bring Tesla there. What they don’t appreciate is that Tesla is restricting production, not restricting demand. If production has increased to the point of responding to major markets, then we will start shipping to the market.”

Another document in the files shows a proposed $2.6 million contract from ProSolar Systems for Little St. James Island. The contract includes a proposal for the installation of 1,839 solar panels and Tesla powerpacks or inverters used to store and convert solar energy. The contract was not signed. It’s also not dated, but there is a warranty for a Tesla powerpack system effective September 2017.

It’s Musk linked to the Epstein files back to September 2025when House Oversight Committee Democrats released dozens of records from Epstein’s estate. Among the more than 8,500 documents released at the time was evidence suggesting that Musk was scheduled to visit Epstein’s island on December 6, 2014.

“This is false,” Musk said written in X about his name appearing in the documents.

In June 2025, in the midst of a feud with President Donald Trump, Musk written in X“Time to drop the really big bombshell. @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That’s the real reason they haven’t been made public.”
