WNBA CBA negotiations are still ongoing. ESPN’s Alexa Philippou reported Friday that the WNBA and players will hold face-to-face talks on Monday in New York City.

“Kelsey Plumb said the league will hold a players meeting in New York on Monday,” Phillippe tweeted. “Not everyone will be able to attend but it was mentioned that Napheesa Collier will be attending. Hopefully some owners will be attending as well.”

Fans on social media were abuzz after the report was released. A fan on X tweeted about the Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark Should be present.

“Thankfully, Caitlin is already in New York. Players with real impact should be in the room shaping the future of the CBA, and Caitlin is at the top of the list.”

Thankfully, Caitlin is already in New York. Players with real impact should be in the room shaping the future of the CBA, and Caitlin is one of them.

@alexaphilippou There’s only one person who needs to be there on Monday and I’m pretty sure she will be, and that’s Caitlin Clark You old guys do nothing but complain that you can drive off into the sunset. No one cares.

@alexaphilippou, I feel like this could have been easily resolved if Caitlin had spoken up. But I don’t think that’s going to happen because her colleagues are all chasing the stars. 😵‍💫

@alexaphilippou The only significant player in all this is Clark, and they are arranging things around her. She will speak with NBC on the phone from MSG on Sunday. Not surprisingly, to accommodate her schedule, the meeting is scheduled for Monday in New York. These other retarded women need to sit down, shut up and listen.

cc will do the work in New York. She only had to interrupt Fei’s rambling, “As a successful league owner🤓👆…”

Luckily Caitlin is already there, so at least they’ll have some sanity in the room

Fans have questioned Collier and Brianna Stewart’s stance on the WNBA’s CBA negotiations because they are co-founders of Unrivaled. If the WNBA faces workforce disruptions or players seek other playing opportunities, their 3×3 league could benefit financially. Critics believe Unrivaled (Collier and Stewart) could serve as an alternative platform if the WNBA were to go on hiatus or a hiatus.

Caitlin Clark is scheduled to head to Madison Square Garden in New York City to make her NBA coverage debut on NBC. Due to her previous insistence on boycotting, fans are calling for her to take advantage of this opportunity and participate.

Caitlin Clark speaks out on WNBA CBA postponement talks

Caitlin Clark spoke about the postponed WNBA CBA negotiations at Team USA training camp on December 12. She called on both sides to compromise to end the impasse.

“This is the biggest moment ever in the WNBA and it’s not something to screw up,” Clark said. “We’re going to fight for everything we deserve, but at the same time, we need to play basketball.”

“This is what our fans crave and what you all crave,” she added. “You want the product on the field. That’s how you make money, that’s how you market it, that’s what the fans want to show up for. This is a business, this is a negotiation and both sides have to compromise. We started taking it seriously and it became very important.”

The WNBA and its players, led by the WNBPA, failed to reach a new collective bargaining agreement before the Jan. 9 deadline. The two sides have entered a period of maintaining the status quo, temporarily retaining the terms of the old WNBA CBA while continuing negotiations.

According to ESPN’s Philippou, the WNBA and WNBPA are discussing a proposed moratorium that would apply to upcoming league operations. This will include free agent qualifying offers and core designations.
