Rohr chases new signings before transfer deadline

Rangers had won eight games in a row before losing 3-1 to Porto in the Europa League. Danny Rohl has completely revitalized the Gers after Russell Martin’s dismal reign and they are back in the title race alongside bitter rivals Celtic and league leaders Hearts.

Rangers have been active in their first transfer window under Rohr’s guidance. Winger Andreas Skov-Olsen joins the club on loan with an option to buy from Wolfsburg, while midfielder Tochi Chukwani and left-back Tuul Lomens also move to Ibrox from Sturm Graz and KVC Westerlo respectively.

OFFER: Rangers make low-ball bid for star who is out of contract

The Mongols need to raise their bid quickly…

as Rangers continue to be linked with more arrivalsRolle hinted that he expected more bodies to arrive before the windows closed.

I have a number in mind. (President) Andrew (Cavenagh) knows that and the recruiters know that. Sometimes you think your answer is yes, but maybe not. But, all in all, I think that by the end of the transfer window we should have a lot of players“.

Based on their performances so far this month, Rangers are clearly looking to bolster their attacking options to close out this game. The club are now thought to be interested in one of Scotland’s best performing strikers.

Rangers and Celtic in race for Premier League star

Rangers’ main rivals in the final stages of the transfer window Celtic linked with move for Kasper Hogg. However, Norwich City have also emerged as a destination for Hogg since then, with his stock likely to rise after Bodo/Glimt scored against Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Masvanshis Rangers - Motherwell

according to sports crazeCeltic are keeping a close eye on Motherwell’s Tawanda Masvanshis as Hogg’s replacement, but Rangers could break the bank as they weigh up a move of their own.

Any deal for Masvanshis would reportedly cost around £5 million, a fee that would make the Zimbabwean one of Rangers’ most expensive signings ever.

Maswanhise moved to Scotland from Leicester City in 2024 and has flourished at Motherwell. A Zimbabwean international, he has made 17 appearances for the country and has scored four goals and provided one assist in four games in all competitions since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Maswanshis is the league’s joint top scorer this season with 11 goals in 20 Premier League games, and has used fewer games than Laurence Shankland and Benjamin Nygren, who also scored 11 goals. The 23-year-old has proven he can provide a consistent goalscoring threat in Scotland’s top flight, something that may be lacking in Rangers’ current strike options.

Youssef Cermiti is Everton’s summer signing and he certainly has potential but is not a reliable scorer at this stage of his career. Meanwhile, Bojan Miowski has struggled to find the form he showed at Aberdeen since returning to Scotland from Girona.

While it remains to be seen whether the deal is completed, it would certainly be a statement of intent from the Rangers as they look to continue their stellar run under Rohr.
